UN AUTRE REGARD SUR LE SPORT

Laura Flessel as godmother
By becoming Patron of the DEAUVILLE SPORT DOC FESTIVAL, I'm joining an initiative that puts sport at the service of social issues and demonstrates its unique ability to change the course of a society in search of greater gender diversity and equality.
Minister for Sport under the Edouard Philippe government, Laura Flessel remains the most decorated French sportswoman at the Olympic Games in 2024 (5 medals).
In addition to her outstanding track record - double Olympic champion, six-time world champion, European champion and 18-time French champion - Laura is an ambassador for AMREF (Stand Up for African Mothers), UNESCO and Handicap International.
Flag-bearer for the French delegation to the London 2012 Olympic Games, she is a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur and Commandeur de l'Ordre National du Mérite.
She was awarded the Prix de la Tolérance Marcel Rudloff in 2009.
